Known for her powerful voice, deep classicism, and emotive presentation, Gayathri brings a musical experience that beautifully balances tradition and creativity. Gayathri Venkataraghavan is one of the most respected Carnatic vocalists of her generation. Her musical journey began at a young age under the guidance of her mother, after which she received advanced training from the legendary Sangita Kalanidhi T. Brinda. This rigorous training shaped her distinctive style rooted in the rich and refined traditions of the Veena Dhanammal bani, known for its emphasis on classicism, subtlety, and lyrical depth.

Over the years, Gayathri has performed at many of the most prestigious Carnatic music platforms, including the famed December Music Season in Chennai, the Madras Music Academy, Narada Gana Sabha, and several leading sabhas across India and internationally. Her concerts are widely admired for their thoughtful raga elaboration, clarity of sahitya, and the emotional depth she brings to every composition.

Her contributions to Carnatic music have earned her numerous recognitions from leading cultural organizations and music institutions. In addition to her performances, she is a dedicated teacher who mentors many students around the world. Through concerts, workshops, and digital platforms, she continues to share and preserve the rich traditions of Carnatic music for future generations.

Every year, the Aradhana offers our community a meaningful opportunity to come together in devotion, music, and shared tradition. This year’s celebration promises a full day dedicated to the timeless compositions of Saint Thyagaraja , bringing together musicians, students, and rasikas from across the community.


Morning: Pancharatna and Sampradaya Group Singing

The day will begin inside the temple with a collective rendering of the revered Pancharatna Krithis and selected Sampradaya Krithis.

Thyagaraja Aradhana tradition emphasizes collective devotion through music, and the group singing session reflects that spirit.

Time: 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM

This segment brings singers together in a unified musical offering, honoring the legacy of Saint Thyagaraja through shared voice and devotion.




Community Presentations Throughout the Day

Following the group session, singers from our local community will present individual performances featuring the compositions of Thyagaraja.

Time: 10:30 AM – 7:30 PM

Participants of all levels are encouraged to perform and share their musical journey with the community. The goal is to create a supportive platform where both emerging and experienced musicians can celebrate and preserve the rich tradition of Carnatic music.

For advanced performers, accompanying artists can be arranged upon request.

If you would like accompaniment, please mention your request in the Additional Details section of the registration form so the organizing team can coordinate accordingly.
